Overview
The University of Melbourne Music Theatre Association (UMMTA) is a student-run musical theatre company in Melbourne, Australia, producing two full-scale musical productions each year. Established in 2002, UMMTA aims to provide all members of the Melbourne University community with the opportunity to participate in and appreciate all forms of music theatre.

Business Need:
Being a completely student-run organisation, the UMMTA committee have many other committments in their daily lives and needed to take the hassle out of managing ticket sales for the up coming productions. UMMTA attract patrons from a diverse range of faculties, universities and the general public, so it was important for them to have an online point of sale for bookings to reach their target audience.

Solution:
Ticketstar Australia worked with The University of Melbourne Music Theatre Association to develop their online presence and integrate the booking solution with their existing web site. Tickets could then be sold online and via their box office (using the Box Office Console application design for Microsoft Windows).

• Ability to accept credit cards both over the counter, phone and internet
• Captured contact information about their patrons they didn't previously have
